For BNC/Coaxial systems this AHD camera has a 4mm fixed focus lens and IR fitted.
This camera operates at Full HD 2MP quality over a coaxial, (RG59) cable with BNC connections, intended for use with the new Samsung SRD-494, SRD-849 and SRD-1694 recorders.
These cameras will also be backwards compatible with standard definition systems, simply press and hold the OSD button for 5 seconds to switch the image mode between AHD Full HD and standard definition TVL formats.
This camera supports Pelco-C (COAXITRON) functionality from a Samsung SRD recorder, allowing for menu access to the camera via the existing coaxial cable.
With its built in IR this camera giver clear images for viewing levels of 0.25lux, (total darkness with IR on, camera will switch to black and white at this point) and delivers crystal clear images even in poorly lit environments, allowing this camera to give pictures total darkness up to 20M distance.
In addition, the 4mm fixed lens provides a field of view of 72.2 degrees wide, 52.9 degrees high.
Great all round flexibility for all installations as this camera has built in DWDR, (Digital Wide Dynamic Range) ideal for use in buildings to oversee rooms or in brightly lit areas such as doorways, the DWDR setting will balance the picture automatically to eliminate silhouette effects if looking from a dark location to a bright location.
An example of this would be a shop doorway looking out into a bright sunlit street.
This camera also has an advanced chip set packed with features and options that allow the camera a high degree of flexibility, for example to balance light levels to avoid silhouette effects of people walking into a dark area from a bright area, an example of this is a person entering a shop from a bright sunlight street, the camera will attempt to electronically balance the light levels of the picture to darken the bright areas whilst brightening the dark areas, this balancing of the picture gives a more detail rich end recording in most situations.
