Advanced Look-Ahead Hybrid LimitersThe F8n’s Advanced Look-Ahead Hybrid Limiters add a 1 millisecond delay, enabling them to “look ahead” and anticipate clipping before it’s recorded. Limiting can be applied individually to all 8 channels simultaneously at full resolution, with 10 to 20 dB of headroom. |
Mic PreampsThe F8n’s Mic/line levels are selectable for both XLR and TRS. With a super-low noise floor (−127 dBu EIN) and high gain (up to 75 dB) it also boasts some of our finest preamps. |
Zoom AutoMixWhen active, Zoom AutoMix automatically adjusts the levels of your mix, reducing the amount of ambient sound and freeing you up to focus on the overall composition. |
State-Of-The-Art Time CodeThe F8n’s Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) generates time code at 0.2 ppm accuracy when powered on and maintains up to 0.2 ppm accuracy when powered off. Time code I/O is provided on BNC connectors with support for all standard dropframe and non-drop formats. |
iOS Wireless Control
Control the F8n wirelessly from your iPhone or iPad using the Zoom F8 Control App. Access mixer pan levels, fader levels and transport controls while monitoring time code, inputs and battery status. You can even enter file and metadata info directly through the app.
